In the district of Silifke in Mersin, Seher Öz and Specialist Sergeant Ahmet Doğan's wedding was attended by many people, including Silifke Mayor Mustafa Turgut. Due to the bride and groom's father's strawberry and vegetable production for their livelihood, Mayor Turgut gave 'seeds' instead of 'gold' during the gift ceremony.

Groom Ahmet Doğan made a statement about the seed gift. The groom said, "In the Silifke region, in our area, farming is practiced.
