HAMAS ANNOUNCED IT REACHED AN AGREEMENT WITH THE U.S.

Recently, it was announced that Hamas had reached a general framework agreement with U.S. representative Steve Witkoff for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. In a statement regarding ceasefire efforts in the Gaza Strip under Israeli attacks, it was stated, "Hamas is making great efforts to stop the brutal war in the Gaza Strip. The latest of these was to reach an agreement on a general framework for a permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of occupying Israeli forces from Gaza, ensuring the flow of aid, and the transfer of governance in Gaza to a professional committee after the announcement of the agreement."

WITCOFF: I HAVE VERY GOOD FEELINGS

Witkoff, the U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East under Trump, also commented on the potential ceasefire process in Gaza during an event held in the Oval Office yesterday.

Witkoff stated, "I think we are about to send the new draft of the agreement that will be delivered soon. The President will review it today. I have very good feelings about achieving a temporary ceasefire and a long-term solution; resolving this conflict peacefully."

WHAT DOES THE U.S. PROPOSAL INCLUDE?

The U.S. proposal includes the withdrawal of the Israeli army from part of Gaza as part of the ceasefire. If Israel accepts the agreement, it will withdraw to the borders from two months ago.

According to the proposal, in exchange for Hamas releasing 10 hostages, Israel is also required to return some Palestinian prisoners. Additionally, the agreement includes a provision for the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of Gaza.
