Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke about the post-war future of Gaza. Netanyahu, who suggested that Israel would control the territory from the Jordanian border to the Mediterranean, stated that "Turkish and Qatari soldiers will not be deployed to the region."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a joint press conference today with the Coordinator for Prisoners and Missing Persons of the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Gal Hirsch, following the delivery of the body of the last Israeli captive, Ran Gvili, in the Gaza Strip yesterday.
"WE WILL CONTROL THE LAND FROM THE JORDAN RIVER TO THE MEDITERRANEAN"
Netanyahu recalled that the return of all living and dead Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip has been completed, asserting that Israel will control the land from the Jordan border to the Mediterranean.
"TURKISH AND QATARI SOLDIERS WILL NOT BE DEPLOYED"
Netanyahu claimed that "Turkish and Qatari soldiers will not be deployed to the region and that at this stage, they are focused on disarming Hamas."
HE OPPOSED TRUMP'S PLAN
Despite U.S. President Donald Trump's plan, Netanyahu argued that they would not allow reconstruction to begin without disarming Hamas and demilitarizing Gaza, stating that they would achieve this "by easy or hard means."
The Israeli Prime Minister accused former U.S. President Joe Biden and his administration of being responsible for the ammunition shortage that led to the deaths of his soldiers, claiming that they ran out of ammunition during a period of war due to a partial embargo. In response to a question about normalization with Saudi Arabia, Netanyahu stated that they are monitoring the Riyadh administration's rapprochement with Qatar and Turkey, expressing a desire to reach an agreement with Saudi Arabia "on the condition that Saudi Arabia wants a strong Israel."
DENIAL FROM BIDEN'S REPRESENTATIVE
Immediately following the speech, a denial came from Amos Hochstein, the former U.S. President Biden's Special Representative for the Middle East, regarding Netanyahu's accusation against the Biden administration. According to a report by Israel's Channel 12 television, Hochstein stated, "Netanyahu is neither telling the truth nor is he showing gratitude to a president who literally saved Israel at its most vulnerable moment."
