New images revealing the panic moments experienced by passengers after the accident on the M4 Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro Line have emerged. Moments when citizens evacuated from the derailed train searched for an exit in the dark tunnel and tried to reach a safe area by walking on the tracks were captured on mobile phone cameras.

New footage has emerged showing the panic moments experienced by passengers inside the tunnel following the accident on the M4 Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro Line.

The images, which reveal the incident and the subsequent evacuation process, capture the commotion in the tunnel after the accident and the passengers' efforts to reach a safe area.

PANIC IN THE TUNNEL CAUGHT ON CAMERA

The footage shows passengers on the metro, which derailed due to a switch fault near Bostancı, evacuating by their own means.

Moments when citizens descended onto the rails after the carriage doors opened in the dark tunnel and tried to find the exit point were captured on mobile phone cameras.

Passengers are heard asking each other for directions and searching for a way out of the tunnel with phrases like "Is there an exit from there, an exit?"

PASSENGERS PROCEEDED ON THE RAILS

In the images, the derailed carriage is seen leaning towards the tunnel wall. Passengers evacuated from the metro are observed walking on the rails for a while to reach safe zones.

During the evacuation, while intense movement occurred in the tunnel, moments when passengers were guided to exit points in a controlled manner were also reflected in the footage.
