In the investigation against Bolu Municipality, Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, who was arrested in operations conducted on different dates after February 28, was suspended from duty. In the indictment accepted by the Bolu 3rd Heavy Criminal Court, a case was filed against Tanju Özcan on charges of 'Extortion by coercion'.
THE SUSPECTS' STATEMENT PROCESS AT THE GENDARMERIE CONTINUES
A new operation was carried out by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams against Bolu Municipality in the early morning hours. In the operation, İ.Ç., O.Ö., S.G., V.Y., S.G., Y.G., İ.G., D.M., and A.K., who work in municipal affiliate companies along with Bolu Municipality Special Secretary Manager Özgür Nihat Yıldız, were detained on charges of 'Embezzlement' and 'Money laundering of assets derived from crime'. Gendarmerie teams conducted searches at the suspects' addresses and municipal units, seizing some digital materials. The suspects' procedures at the gendarmerie command continue.
