It has been confirmed by the palace that Princess Kate Middleton, who has been battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy for some time, will not be attending the Colonel's Review, which is the traditional rehearsal for Trooping the Colour, scheduled for June.
Kate Middleton, who announced in her video published in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment in private, will not attend the traditional event to be held in June without disturbing her current HTML.
DOCTORS TOOK PRECAUTIONS
The Duchess of Wales will not attend the Colonel's Review, which is the traditional rehearsal of Trooping the Colour, on June 8th, palace officials confirmed today that Kate will not attend due to continuing her chemotherapy treatment. Buckingham Palace also announced that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will travel in a car and not ride a horse during the Trooping the Colour event on June 15th. 75-year-old Charles will salute the soldiers with Camilla from the Ascot Landau carriage at the official birthday parade. It is understood that this change was made on doctor's advice due to the monarchy undergoing cancer treatment.
THE IRISH GUARDS WERE SUPPOSED TO SALUTE
At the Colonel's Review, Lieutenant General James Bucknall, who is the Commander of the Irish Guards, will serve as the inspecting officer on behalf of Kate. The 42-year-old Duchess was supposed to salute as the commander of the Irish Guards under normal circumstances. However, while Kate continues to rest at home while undergoing chemotherapy, she will return to public royal duties when doctors allow.
