Social media influencer Dilan Polat, who was detained for the crime of "buying, possessing, or using narcotic substances" and released after giving her statement, announced that she has decided to part ways with her husband Engin Polat. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation against Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, Alper Kürşat Polat, and Hazal Erdoğan for the crime of 'purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants' due to a video shared on social media.

A new development has occurred for the Polat couple, who were detained and later released as part of the investigation. Dilan Polat announced on her social media account that she has decided to part ways with her husband Engin Polat.

Dilan Polat stated, "We are harming each other by being together. It seems it doesn't work. I unintentionally harm others with my good intentions, and I want to distance myself from everyone and everything; I have lost my will to live. I have also decided to part ways with my husband Engin Polat," she expressed.

In her post, Polat also mentioned that she would close her social media accounts, continuing her words: "I don't want to harm anyone unintentionally; I just want to distance myself. You have taken everything from me: my joy of living, my passions, everything."

Engin Polat also stated in his announcement on social media, "My wife was very affected by the situations we experienced, and the things she wrote were because she thought they were harming us. We are a family and are tightly bound to each other under any circumstances. My wife and I will not be around for a while," he expressed.
