No news has been received for 40 days from Esma Nur Hacıosmanoğlu, who is believed to have gone missing in the Kelkit River after a traffic accident that occurred on May 16 in the Koyulhisar district of Sivas. The grieving mother, stating that the search efforts have ended, calls on authorities to take a new step to find her daughter.

"As a mother, broadcast this cry of mine! It has been exactly 37 days... On 16.05.2026, my daughter Esmanur Hacıosmanoğlu (17), who could not be found in the Kelkit River in Sivas - Koyulhisar. The search efforts have ended because the water is too high. I ask our state officials to intervene to drain or reduce the river's water. Please be our voice by sharing, do not turn a blind eye to a mother's helplessness."
REQUESTED THE RIVER'S WATER TO BE REDUCED The mother, who requested the draining or reduction of the flow of the Kelkit River to find her daughter, stated that she expects support from state authorities.
WHAT HAPPENED? In the accident that occurred on May 16 on the D-100 highway near the Aşağıkale neighborhood of Koyulhisar district, the car overturned; 17-year-old Yağmur Hira Yazıcı lost her life, while the driver Ufuk Yüce (20) was injured. 17-year-old Esma Nur Hacıosmanoğlu, believed to have jumped into the Kelkit River in shock from the accident, has been missing and sought since the accident.
