In the drug investigation targeting celebrities, Ahmet Akçay, the driver of Kasım Garipoğlu, who has an arrest warrant issued against him and whose assets have been seized, has benefited from effective remorse and became a whistleblower. In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding 'Drug', a warrant was issued for the arrest of Kasım Garipoğlu, whose assets were seized. During the searches conducted at Garipoğlu's residence, 3 unlicensed handguns, 111 drug pills, 4 pieces of crystal-like drugs, numerous devices used for drug consumption, a drug grinder, a bundle of empty papers containing 100-dollar bills on top and bottom, and 19 pieces of counterfeit dollars with cut middle sections were seized.

GARİPOĞLU'S DRIVER RECOUNTED ONE BY ONE

As part of the investigation, Garipoğlu's driver İsmail Ahmet Akçay was arrested for the crime of 'Purchasing Drugs or Stimulants for Personal Use'. Akçay's statement has emerged. In his statement, Akçay said, 'Kasım Garipoğlu's brother Fatih Garipoğlu, Burak Ateş, Şeyma Subaşı, Şevval Şahin, Derin Talu, and Defne Samyeli were among those attending the parties held.'

"HE HOLDS PARTIES WITH FRIENDS EVERY 15 DAYS OR ONCE A MONTH"

Garipoğlu's driver Ahmet Akçay stated in his testimony to the prosecutor: "I have been working as the chauffeur for Kasım Garipoğlu at a company named GKG Management Consultancy A. Ş. for about 10 years. The company you are asking about belongs to Kasım Garipoğlu. During this time, I have served as Mr. Kasım's personal chauffeur. Besides me, there has been another driver in the company for about 2 years to take Mr. Kasım from his residence to his workplace. However, I spend most of my workdays at Mr. Kasım's mansion. Mr. Kasım holds parties with his close friends every 15 days or once a month."

"I PERFORM TECHNICAL CHECKS AT THE MANSION BEFORE THE PARTY"

At the parties held at Kasım Garipoğlu's mansion, I check for any technical deficiencies in the upper floor of the mansion, which is designed for use on party days, before the parties are held. I go down to the building entrance to welcome guests. I have witnessed many famous names attending these parties, which do not have a fixed frequency. There have been guests who have passed out at the parties.

Mr. Kasım retreats to his room to sleep later in the night, but the party could continue. At these parties, Mr. Kasım did not want us to be visible or to go out to the area where the party was held. In fact, once when I went up to the party floor to ask if they needed anything, he said, 'If I need anything, I will call you,' and did not want me to go upstairs."

"I SAW ROLLED BANKNOTES THAT I THOUGHT WERE USED FOR COCAINE"

In his statement, Akçay said, 'At the parties I mentioned, after the party ends, we check the party area to see if any guests have forgotten any belongings. During our checks, I have seen rolled banknotes, which I suspect were used for cocaine, in a plate several times. The person referred to as C., whom you asked about, is someone who attends almost all the parties organized by Mr. Kasım. I know that this person is the first to arrive and the last to leave the parties. He is a close friend of Mr. Kasım. I have seen him acting under the influence of drugs and alcohol. When a guest came to the mansion outside of the list sent to me, I was directed on whether the guest could enter the mansion based on the permissions of these individuals,' he said.

"THE PERSON WHO SAID THE PARTIES WOULD BE REPORTED WANTED TO MEET GARİPOĞLU"

Continuing his statement, Akçay said: "The person who sent messages to my mobile phone about reports being made regarding the parties held at Mr. Kasım's mansion is a person named G. Y. This person came to the mansion about 15 days ago while Mr. Kasım was abroad and wanted to meet with Mr. Kasım. However, when Mr. Kasım did not want to meet, he took my contact information and sent me the messages you asked about to be conveyed through me. As far as I know, this person is G. Y., the brother of K. Y., and according to what he said, he has a long-standing debt from Mr. Kasım's father, Hayyam Garipoğlu.

I know that he came to the mansion to discuss this matter, but I do not know the details of the incident. The person you asked about, B. E., frequently attends the parties. I know him from here. However, I think the message you sent me about 'A dealer of celebrities has exploded, the issue started from Sercan, this has come to light from phone records, they have created a list' is something he sent me due to it being a news item. This person, as far as I know, is involved in gallery and yacht buying and selling, and he is my friend; he has no direct relationship with Mr. Kasım.

"WOMEN WERE INVITED TO THE PARTIES"

Women referred to as escorts were invited to the parties held at the mansion for the purpose of sexual encounters. I do not know what these individuals did inside or who they were with. Again, since these individuals were not on the list provided to us, we understood that they were escorts.

Akçay continued his words as follows: "We were not always given a list by Mr. Kasım. Since I have been working here for a long time, I recognize the people who come by face, and because I had the authority regarding whether these individuals could be allowed into the mansion, I would permit their entry. In the examination of my mobile phone, it was determined that Mr. Kasım would ask us to send money to the women we knew were escorts from the expense account that was essentially under our responsibility.

"I HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH GARİPOĞLU FOR 10 YEARS"

I would send payments of up to about 10,000 lira to these women via bank transfer. There was no routine for sending this money. I have even sent money on days when there were no parties. However, these sending transactions were based on Mr. Kasım's instructions. I have been working with Mr. Kasım for about 10 years. During this time, we have not even joked with each other. This distance between us has never changed.

"I SAW PLATES USED FOR DRUGS"

As I mentioned above, when I checked the party area after the parties, I saw plates that I knew had been used for drugs 4-5 times. Therefore, I do not know to whom the drugs seized during the search at the residence belong. I also know that women were called under the name of escorts at the parties held, but I do not know who called them. I want to benefit from the effective remorse provisions. In fact, when I was detained due to the crime, the lawyers of the company I worked for contacted me and warned me to clean my mobile phone. Upon this warning, I decided to sincerely tell what I knew.

I know that these individuals brought drugs called cocaine and ketamine. Attendees of the parties included Kasım Garipoğlu's brother Fatih Garipoğlu, Burak Ateş, Şeyma Subaşı, Şevval Şahin, Derin Talu, and Defne Samyeli," he said.
