The new official vehicle purchased by Mustafa Yıldırımcı, who switched to the AK Party after being elected mayor from the Great Unity Party in the Köprülü town of Ardahan's Göle district, drew attention.

OFFICIAL VEHICLE POSE IN FRONT OF THE MUNICIPALITY

It was learned that Köprülü Mayor Mustafa Yıldırımcı bought a new official vehicle of the Volkswagen Tayron brand. The vehicle, reported to have a market value of approximately 4 million lira, was displayed in front of the municipal building. Mayor Yıldırımcı took a commemorative photo with municipal employees and some citizens in front of the new official vehicle.

“WE BOUGHT A VEHICLE WORTHY OF OUR TOWN”

Making a statement about the new official vehicle, Mayor Yıldırımcı stated that the vehicle was purchased with the municipality's own resources. In his statement, Yıldırımcı said, “Due to need, we bought an official vehicle worthy of our town with our own resources. May God make it a blessing, may it be beneficial for our town.”

DEBATE: “WHY WASN’T TOGG PREFERRED?”

The municipality's choice of a foreign brand vehicle also sparked controversy. While the preference for a Volkswagen brand official vehicle over the lower-cost domestic TOGG drew attention, the question “Why wasn’t TOGG bought?” became a topic on social media.
