In Istanbul, it was claimed that Necla Üstünel, who fell ill at the hairdresser during her son's wedding preparations, had medicine mixed into her drink by her sister-in-law. Following the footage captured by security cameras, the case, which resulted in a monetary fine, has been reopened.
While preparing for her son's wedding in Istanbul, it was revealed that Necla Üstünel was poisoned by her sister-in-law, who allegedly put medication in her drink, after she fainted at the hairdresser's.
CAMERA FOOTAGE SHOCKED EVERYONE
On the day of the incident, Necla Üstünel, who was given a drink to cool down at the hairdresser's, experienced a burning sensation in her throat and felt unwell shortly after. The security camera footage allegedly shows that the person who mixed medication into the drink was her sister-in-law. Describing her experience, Üstünel said, "It was my son's wedding day. While I was at the hairdresser's, they gave me a drink to cool down. As soon as I drank it, my throat burned, and I felt faint. It turned out that medication had been mixed into the drink." Üstünel stated that she fainted during the wedding and was taken to the hospital by ambulance, after which her health problems began.
NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY
According to allegations, her sister-in-law showed no signs of remorse after the incident and told the family, "May their wedding be ruined." In the first trial, the defendant was only given a monetary fine. However, following the appeal of lawyer Burcu Aslan, the case was reopened. According to Ekol TV reporter Kemal Akagündüz, lawyer Burcu Aslan emphasized that the case needed to be retried, stating, "This incident is not just simple negligence; it is intentional injury, even attempted murder. We expect the court to make a fair decision by considering the camera footage."
The court is expected to reevaluate the case based on the security camera footage and make a decision.
