Ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to the Trump National Golf Club in Southern California, it was reported that an armed suspect was taken into custody there.
It has been revealed that a security alarm was raised ahead of US President Donald Trump's visit to California. According to reports in the US press, it was reported that teams from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department detained a suspicious individual who was taking photos and videos and was believed to be conducting reconnaissance at the Trump National Golf Club in the city of Rancho Palos Verdes on Sunday, which was on the US president's visit itinerary. It was stated that the incident occurred after federal agents noticed a person walking around the facility grounds and reported it.
CAUGHT WITH AMMUNITION AND A WEAPON
It was reported that the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jeanine John Taele, a resident of Downey, California, was found in possession of a 16-round magazine and ammunition at the time of detention, and a loaded handgun was seized from their vehicle. Taele was also noted to be a suspect in a robbery investigation conducted by the El Segundo Police Department. It was reported that a search of the individual's home in Downey uncovered numerous firearms, magazines, ammunition, body armor, and several notebooks containing "concerning statements." Despite this, it was stated that there is currently no definitive evidence that the suspect planned an attack against Trump.
