In the Foça district of İzmir, police took action after footage showing shots being fired into the air at a wedding on October 10 was shared on social media. Fourteen suspects, including nine people identified as having fired shots, were apprehended in Foça and Aliağa. Four unlicensed pistols, a pump-action shotgun, four hunting rifles, 159 pistol cartridges, and a machete were seized at the addresses. Seven of the suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested.

OPERATION LAUNCHED OVER THE FOOTAGE
Foça District Police Department teams launched an investigation after footage on social media showing gunfire into the air at a wedding held in Bağarası Neighborhood on October 10. Within this scope, a total of 14 suspects, including 9 people identified from the footage, which was determined to have been recorded with a mobile phone, as having fired into the air, were apprehended in the Foça and Aliağa districts.
WEAPONS AND A MACHETE FOUND AT THEIR ADDRESSES
During searches at the suspects' addresses, 4 unlicensed handguns, 2 blank-firing pistols, a pump-action shotgun, 4 smoothbore hunting shotguns, 159 pistol cartridges, 10 rifle cartridges, and a machete were seized.
After their processing at the police station, 7 of the suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested, 6 were released, and a judicial control decision was issued for 1 person.
