Former AK Party MP Orhan Miroğlu misunderstood a question about singer Hadise's stage outfits and commented on developments in the Middle East. After being alerted by the reporter, Miroğlu realized the situation and corrected his statement after a brief moment of confusion. Miroğlu later concluded his explanation humorously by saying, "The events got mixed up."
While the opening program of the 45th Istanbul Film Festival showcased colorful moments, the interview given by former AK Party Mardin Deputy Orhan Miroğlu sparked widespread reactions on social media.
THE "HADISE" QUESTION TURNED INTO A MIDDLE EAST COMMENTARY
When responding to reporters' questions at the festival, Miroğlu was asked about the recent discussions surrounding singer Hadise's stage outfits. However, misunderstanding the question, Miroğlu began to relate the topic to developments in the Middle East.
Miroğlu stated, "Talking about stage outfits is not a good thing. Because I always say this, when it comes to major historical events and the effort to understand a country's past, I really dislike sentences that start with 'afterwards.' Because we need to look at 'what happened before afterwards.' I mean, afterwards 'Hamas attacked Israel.', 'Afterwards America attacked Iran.' That's not it. We need to look at what happened before."
REPORTER WARNED, SURPRISED WHEN THE TRUTH WAS REVEALED
After reporter Samet Aday reminded him that the question was related to Hadise, Miroğlu experienced a brief moment of surprise and corrected his statement with a smile. Miroğlu, who approached the discussion of stage outfits cautiously, expressed that discussing such topics is not appropriate, but also mentioned that the situations causing the debate could be limited to a certain extent.
IT BECAME A TREND ON SOCIAL MEDIA
The footage of the interview quickly spread on social media and was shared by many users. Viewers evaluated the misunderstanding with humorous comments.
"EVENTS GOT MIXED UP"
Orhan Miroğlu also referred to the confusion in a post on his social media account. Stating that they attended the festival opening, Miroğlu expressed that the Hadise question overshadowed the interview, humorously commenting, "Events got mixed up." He also mentioned that they shared their views about the film "Posta Kutusu 213- Diyarbakır," which will compete in the festival.
