Özel's first comment on the scuffle in the Turkish Grand National Assembly: "I am not satisfied with the current situation; I am disturbed."

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel answered questions from Kübra Par on TV100. For the first time speaking about the scuffle that occurred between Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya and CHP deputies in the TBMM Planning and Budget Commission, Özel used striking expressions.

"THIS SHOULD NOT BE SEEN AS A REVENGE"

Özel said, "I was aware of the planned protest, but I am not happy with the current situation; I am disturbed. I think the process has been poorly managed. I was not pleased that both the Interior Minister of the Republic of Turkey and my party's deputies were part of that scene. Just as the image in front of Esenyurt Municipality is very sad, yesterday's image is equally sad, but this should not be seen as a revenge."

"I KNOW THE CITIZENS DO NOT WANT TO SEE FIGHTING"

I wish neither the Interior Minister nor our friends were in that image. I was really saddened by this part of the issue. Additionally, I know that citizens do not want to see fighting. Citizens may want to see the most intense debates, but they do not want to see pushing and shoving. Therefore, this incident should be a talisman within the constructive political understanding we observe, within the effective opposition's constructive political understanding," he said.
