Speaking to the crowd gathered in Saraçhane, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced that his party would determine its presidential candidate and revealed the number of votes cast in the primary election, where Ekrem İmamoğlu was the sole candidate. Özel stated, "The number of votes İmamoğlu received is over 14 million 850 thousand."
The voting process for the presidential candidate of the Republican People's Party (CHP), where the only candidate is the suspended and arrested Mayor of Istanbul (IBB) Ekrem İmamoğlu, ended at 19:00.

Once again addressing the crowd gathered in front of the IBB's central campus in Saraçhane, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced the number of votes cast in the primary election.
"14 MILLION 850 THOUSAND VOTES WERE CAST"
Özel stated, "1 million 653 thousand of our members went to the polls. Out of 1 million 750 thousand of our members, 1 million 653 went to the polls. There wasn't enough time to vote, there weren't enough envelopes, there weren't enough ballots. While not all ballot boxes have been opened yet, the total votes cast in the solidarity ballot boxes is 13 million 210 thousand. While over 2 thousand 600 ballot boxes have not yet been processed, the number of votes received by İmamoğlu is over 14 million 850 thousand."
