Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu responded for the first time to the expulsion allegations that came to the agenda after the 'absolute nullity' decision in the CHP. CLAIM CAUSED WIDE REPERCUSSION IN PUBLIC
Previously, Fatih Atik, TGRT News Ankara Representative, reported that Kılıçdaroğlu's team was in contact with the Turkish Grand National Assembly Presidency and that there were discussions regarding Özgür Özel's group chairmanship. Atik also claimed that some CHP deputies, including Özel, could have their immunities lifted and expulsion processes could be brought to the agenda.
KILIÇDAROĞLU: EXPULSION HAS CONDITIONS
The allegations on the agenda were asked to Kılıçdaroğlu today. The CHP leader stated that the party administration is conducted within the framework of law and seriousness, using the following expressions: “A lot of gossip, friends, don't believe them. A party administration is conducted within the law and with seriousness. You cannot do anything with gossip. Expulsion has conditions; you cannot just take someone and say, 'I don't like this, let me expel them.' There's no such thing.”

ABSOLUTE NULLITY CRISIS IN CHP
The Ankara Regional Court of Justice had given an absolute nullity decision for the CHP. The court had ruled for the annulment of the 38th Ordinary Convention of the CHP held on November 4-5, 2023. Thus, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu returned to the CHP General Chairmanship by court decision after 2.5 years. With the cancellation of the convention, all ordinary and extraordinary conventions held after that date and the decisions taken were also invalidated.
BAILIFFS NOTIFIED THE DECISION
Bailiffs had notified the interim injunction decision given by the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice in the CHP convention case to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was reinstated as CHP General Chairman. Bailiffs conveyed the decision to Kılıçdaroğlu by going to his office. The Supreme Election Council (YSK) had rejected the Republican People's Party's (CHP) objection regarding the absolute nullity decision. The Ankara Regional Court of Justice also rejected the CHP's objection to the precautionary decision.
