A passenger's attempt to open the emergency exit door on a flight to South Korea caused panic. The incident, which was prevented by the intervention of the cabin crew, turned into a scene of terrifying moments. In the footage, cabin crew members are seen quickly intervening against the man who was grasping the door handle and trying to open it. According to reports, the passenger, who threatened the crew and exhibited aggressive behavior, was subdued by the staff and taken to a separate area to calm down. The Airbus A330-300 aircraft, carrying 238 passengers, landed at Incheon International Airport in Seoul around 04:45 without any delays. The passenger was handed over to Incheon International Airport Police for investigation. Korean Air stated regarding the incident: "The situation was managed according to our security protocols that prioritize passenger safety and operational integrity. The situation was successfully brought under control, and we will cooperate with the relevant authorities in the investigation. Korean Air has a zero-tolerance policy against behaviors that jeopardize aviation safety and will continue to respond decisively to such incidents." A similar incident occurred in June 2023, when a 19-year-old South Korean passenger attempted to open the emergency exit door on a Jeju Airlines flight from Cebu, Philippines, to Seoul. It was reported that the young passenger rushed to open the door but was quickly subdued by the crew using a "rope." The crew tied the passenger with ropes and brought him to the front of the plane to be kept under observation. During checks upon landing, the passenger, who tested positive for drugs, was handed over to the police at Incheon International Airport.
