A historic day was experienced in Tehran, the capital of Iran, under attack from the US and Israel. The people flocked to the city's important squares to support the Iranian government and celebrate the Islamic Republic Day. President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also joined the celebrations by mingling with the crowd.

In the capital Tehran, people gathered in the city's important squares to support the Iranian government and celebrate Islamic Republic Day. Especially in Enghelab Square, residents of the capital celebrated Islamic Republic Day with Iranian flags in their hands while chanting slogans against the USA and Israel.

On the other hand, President Mesud Pezeşkiyan and Foreign Minister Abbas Arakçi also attended the celebrations. It was observed that the two figures chatted with citizens and took photos under heavy security measures.
ISLAMIC REPUBLIC DAY
After the Islamic Revolution in Iran on February 11, 1979, a referendum was held on March 30-31, 1979, to determine the form of government, and the results were announced on April 1, where 98.2% of the public voted "yes," establishing the country's form of government as the "Islamic Republic." For this reason, April 1 is celebrated as "Iran Islamic Republic Day" in the country.
