12 of the 15 suspects detained in the operation against the criminal organization nicknamed "Agha" in Ankara have been arrested. The investigation determined that the suspects seized money and real estate from individuals they threatened with weapons, and long-barreled rifles, cartridges, promissory notes belonging to victims, and photos with weapons and threatening messages on phones were seized during the operations.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau, teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate carried out an operation against the crime organization leader nicknamed "Agha."
In the investigation, it was determined that the organization's members obtained money and real estate from individuals they threatened with weapons. Following physical and technical surveillance efforts, 15 suspects were taken into custody in the operation.
WEAPONS FOUND IN MEETING HOUSE
Police teams determined that the crime organization leader used a house in Ankara as the organization's meeting point and stored weapons there.
During searches at the addresses, 7 promissory notes issued in the names of victims, 2 long-barreled rifles, and numerous cartridges were seized. Additionally, armed photos, footage of them firing weapons, and threatening messages were found on the suspects' mobile phones.
12 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police department, 12 of the 15 suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested by the court. The other 3 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.
