DRONE ATTACK ON HOTEL IN THE GREEN ZONE
Severe explosion sounds rose from many different areas, especially near the "Green Zone" where the US Embassy is located in Baghdad. It was reported that the upper floor of a hotel in the Green Zone was attacked by a drone. While it is unknown who carried out the attack, smoke was seen rising from the hotel roof. No statement has yet been made by Iraqi authorities regarding the matter.
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
While negotiations continued between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. In response, Iran attacked targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed. According to Iranian officials, the death toll from the US-Israel attacks has exceeded 1,348, and the number of injured has surpassed 17,000.
