With the Central Bank raising its year-end inflation forecast to a range of 31-33%, the calculations for pension and civil servant salary increases have also changed. According to the new scenarios, retirees will receive an increase of between 12.28% and 13.99%, while civil servants will receive an increase of between 18.7% and 20.5%. Accordingly, the lowest pension will rise to 19,242 TL, and the lowest civil servant salary will increase to 61,856 TL. The minimum wage is also expected to rise by 33% to 29,398 TL.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has revised its year-end inflation forecast to a range of 31-33 percent, which directly affects the salary increases for millions of civil servants and retirees to be made in January. According to the new forecast, SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees will receive an increase of between 12.28 and 13.99 percent, while civil servants will receive an increase of between 18.7 and 20.5 percent.

THREE DIFFERENT SALARY INCREASE CALCULATIONS FOR RETIREES

The inflation difference for the first four months of the second half of the year has been finalized at 10.25 percent. The net rate will be determined after the announcement of the data for November and December.

The lowest SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirement pension, which is 16,881 TL, has risen to 18,611 TL according to the four-month inflation difference.

  • If inflation is 31 percent, the salary will be 18,953 TL,
  • If it is 32 percent, it will be 19,100 TL,
  • If it is at 33 percent, it will be 19,242 TL.

According to this calculation, the lowest retirement pension will exceed 19,000 TL in January.

AT LEAST 18.7 PERCENT INCREASE FOR CIVIL SERVANTS

According to a report compiled by Sabah; if the annual inflation is realized at 31 percent, civil servants and retired civil servants will receive an increase of 18.7 percent, if it is 32 percent, they will receive 19.6 percent, and if it is 33 percent, they will receive 20.5 percent.

The lowest retired civil servant salary, which is 22,672 TL;

  • With an 18.7 percent increase, it will be 26,911 TL,
  • With an additional 1,000 TL, it will be 27,911 TL,
  • In the case of a 20.5 percent inflation forecast, it will rise to 28,319 TL.

THE LOWEST CIVIL SERVANT SALARY WILL EXCEED 61,000

With the salary increase in July 2025, the lowest civil servant salary had risen to 50,503 TL. The salary of a university graduate civil servant was at the level of 52,617 TL.

If the Central Bank's inflation forecast of 33 percent is realized,

  • The lowest civil servant salary will rise to 61,856 TL with a 1,000 TL increase,
  • The salary of a university graduate civil servant will rise to 64,403 TL.

35 PERCENT POSSIBILITY FOR MINIMUM WAGE

The new increase rates have also been a guide for the minimum wage.

The current minimum wage, which is 22,104 TL,

  • With a 33 percent increase, it will rise to 29,398 TL,
  • With a 35 percent increase, it will rise to 29,840 TL.
