Turkey has begun taking high-level measures ahead of the NATO summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8. The capital will be equipped with missile defense systems during the summit, which world leaders will attend. Additionally, UAV and drone countermeasure systems will be deployed. Over 40,000 security personnel will be on duty across Ankara and around the Beştepe Presidential Complex.
Turkey has elevated its preparations to the highest level for the NATO summit to be held in the capital Ankara on July 7-8. Ahead of this critical summit where world leaders will convene, extraordinary security measures have begun to be implemented throughout the city.
TOP-LEVEL MEASURES TO BE DEPLOYED BEFORE THE NATO SUMMIT
According to a Bloomberg report, during the summit, Ankara's skies will be protected by air and missile defense systems against potential threats; additionally, drone and anti-drone systems will be deployed at strategic points to prevent asymmetric risks from the air. A fleet of F-16 fighter jets from the Turkish Air Force will remain on high alert throughout the summit.
OVER 40 THOUSAND SECURITY PERSONNEL WILL BE ON DUTY
In the areas where the summit will be held and around the Beştepe Presidential Complex, security will be extremely tight. To ensure the safe completion of the event, more than 40 thousand police and security personnel will work continuously across Ankara. Officials have stated that strict measures will be implemented along the leaders' transit routes and throughout the city.
