Due to the civil war in Syria, the Yayladağı Customs Gate located in the Yayladağı district of Hatay was closed 13 years ago. President Erdoğan stated that this gate will be reopened to reduce the intensity of the return of Syrians following the recent developments.

TRANSFERS HAVE STARTED

Following President Erdoğan's statement yesterday, many Syrian citizens began to come to the Yayladağı Customs Gate this morning to return to their country. The Ministry of Interior's Directorate General of Migration Management has set up a 'Mobile Service Unit' truck at the customs gate here to support the transfers being carried out as quickly as possible.

"PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN DID NOT LET OUR PEOPLE BE OPPRESSED"

Adem Bal, who returned to his country from the Yayladağı Customs Gate, said, "We are happy, we are returning, hopefully. I am returning by giving my identity. I wish it is good for our people, I thank everyone who contributed. I also thank Turkey for sheltering us. We thank President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for hosting us, he did not let our people be oppressed, may he be blessed."
