President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke on the phone with Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq. During the meeting, Erdoğan expressed that Turkey stands by Iraq in this critical process, stating that Turkey will continue its fight against steps that could lead the region into disaster for many years, and that the recent movements in terrorist organizations and some accompanying groups are being closely monitored.
President Erdoğan stated that Turkey is working intensively to end the conflicts in the region and to facilitate a return to negotiations.
