President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a phone conversation with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The discussion focused on Turkey-UK relations, regional developments, and the processes that emerged following the attacks on Iran.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke on the phone with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The Communications Directorate stated in a press release regarding the meeting that the leaders evaluated the bilateral relations between Turkey and the United Kingdom, the ongoing conflict process in the region, and global developments.

In the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized that there is a strong will to further develop cooperation between Turkey and the United Kingdom, particularly in many areas including the defense industry. Erdoğan stated that they would continue to take new steps to advance the relations between the two countries.
Regional developments were also on the agenda during the meeting. President Erdoğan noted that Turkey is closely monitoring the process that began with attacks on Iran, expressing that the prolongation of interventions could seriously harm regional and global stability.
Erdoğan also conveyed that despite the existing tension, there is still an opportunity to establish a dialogue platform, stating that Turkey continues its peace-oriented efforts.
