President Erdoğan spoke at the "Turkic States Organization Informal Summit" in Hungary. In his statement, Erdoğan said, "The civilian population in Gaza is living through hell. A grave warning has been issued that 14,000 babies are expected to die. Our contributions to the efforts in Gaza are important. It is necessary to halt Israel's unchecked expansionism and to recognize the territorial integrity of Palestine."

President Erdoğan attended the Turkish States Organization (TDT) Informal Summit in Hungary. In his speech here, President Erdoğan expressed his great pleasure in visiting Hungary on the occasion of the informal summit of the Turkish States Organization and thanked Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for his "kind hospitality."
Erdoğan also wished continued success to Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, who is currently holding the TDT presidency.
"THE CLEAREST INDICATOR OF THE IMPORTANCE WE ATTACH TO HUNGARY"
Pointing out the significance of the summit being held for the first time in an observer country, President Erdoğan stated, "The fact that we are organizing a summit of our organization for the first time in an observer country is the clearest indicator of the importance we attach to Hungary."
Emphasizing that the Turkish states are "carriers of a deep-rooted heritage that combines the wisdom of the East with the dynamism of the West at the intersection of history and civilization," Erdoğan said, "I sincerely believe that our organization will be one of the main architects of this strategic connection that brings together the East and the West. We attach great importance to Hungary's role in strengthening the relations between our organization and European institutions, hosting the drought prevention office and the institute. We believe that the appointment of Balázs Hendrich, the former Consul General of Hungary in Istanbul, as the executive director of our Hungary representative office will enhance the effectiveness of the office. On this occasion, I would like to express that we encourage Hungary's participation as an observer member of the Turkish Culture Organization (TÜRKSOY), which is a symbol of our cultural cooperation."
"THE TURKISH WORLD FAMILY PHOTO WILL BE INCOMPLETE WITHOUT THE TRNC"
Continuing his speech, Erdoğan stated:
We have a long way to go ahead. I have no doubt that we will reach our goal together. The Nevruz holiday is the cultural heritage of our fate and unity of hearts. From now on, we will be pleased to declare it as Nevruz and Celebration Day. We believe that it would be very meaningful for December 15 to be declared as World Turkish Language Day at the 43rd General Conference of UNESCO. I wish success to our Uzbek brothers in advance. We are very pleased with Uzbekistan's acceptance as a member. The common corridor, which constitutes a secure and uninterrupted transportation line between the East and the West, stands out as a strategic route. We expect the support of the member states. The tragedies of the past and the current tragedies in Gaza remind us that we need to think beyond borders. We expect support for the rights struggle of the Turkish Cypriots. We find the meeting of the elders in the TRNC meaningful. The family photo of the Turkish world will be incomplete without the TRNC. I hope to see the day when we will accept the TRNC as a full member in the not-too-distant future.
"IF AID DOES NOT REACH, 14 THOUSAND BABIES MAY DIE"
We are closely following the developments in the Caucasus. We are pleased with the agreement in the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace talks. This will bring many opportunities as well. Aliyev will go down in history as the leader who will bring peace. In Gaza, however, the civilian population is living in hell. A grim warning has been issued that 14 thousand babies may die. Our contributions to the efforts in Gaza are important. Israel's borderless expansionism needs to be halted, and the territorial integrity of Palestine must be recognized. We all deeply feel the global effects of the Russia-Ukraine war. The parties came together in Istanbul, and we will continue our contacts with both countries for a just peace. Our intense efforts for stability in Syria are also ongoing. I am particularly pleased to see Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar among us today. We will present him with the award decided in Bishkek. We believe that they will bring many more successes to the Turkish nation. May the Budapest declaration be beneficial to our friendly and brotherly countries.
