Due to fluctuations in global markets, a 1.43 TL increase in the price of gasoline per liter is forecast, but with the support of the Eşel Mobil System, approximately 1.06 TL of the hike will be reflected on drivers' tanks. On the other hand, since the entire 4.35 TL giant cut made in recent days went to the SCT (Special Consumption Tax) regulation, it was not reflected as a discount on pump prices.
Fluctuations in global energy markets and developments on the US-Iran line continue to cause movement in fuel prices. While the course of Brent oil and the exchange rate is preparing to be reflected as an increase at the pump, after the news of a discount, attention has turned to a new price hike.
EXPECTATION OF A 1.43 TRY HIKE IN GASOLINE:
According to information obtained from industry sources, an increase of 1.43 TRY per liter in the price of gasoline is anticipated. However, since the Equalization Mobile System will come into play, 25 percent of the increase will be covered by Special Consumption Tax (SCT). Thus, the portion of the increase reflected at the pump is expected to be approximately 1.06 TRY.
WHY WAS THE 4.35 TRY DISCOUNT NOT REFLECTED AT THE PUMP?
The 4.35 TRY price reduction that came into effect as of Friday was not directly reflected in drivers' tanks. Since the entire discount was covered under the SCT regulation, there was no decrease in the listed prices.
