While waiting in front of a duty pharmacy in Şişli, 26-year-old Nilda Müge Şahin, who was murdered in an armed attack by her ex-boyfriend Nazir Ilgın, it has emerged that she spotted her killer near the hospital she had visited shortly before the incident but was not sure. It was learned that Ilgın, who was released under judicial control despite filing a complaint 9 days before the murder, had 6 criminal records and an unratified 14-year prison sentence, and a restraining order was served 3 days before the incident. The murder suspect is being sought everywhere.
In Şişli, Nilda Müge Şahin (26) was subjected to an armed attack by her ex-boyfriend Nazir Ilgın (35), who arrived on a motorcycle, while she was waiting for her friend to pick up medicine in front of a pharmacy. Şahin, who was hit by 2 bullets in her back and 2 in her chest, lost her life. New details about the murder have emerged. It was stated that Şahin had filed a complaint against Ilgın 9 days before the attack, that Ilgın, who was detained, was released under judicial control, and that a restraining order was served 3 days before the incident. Şahin's friend, who went to the hospital with her, gave a statement as a witness regarding the murder. In the witness statement, she described that they noticed a person resembling the suspect around the hospital they went to but could not tell if it was him, and that later, on the street where the duty pharmacy was located, Şahin was attacked. On the other hand, it was learned that the suspect has 6 criminal records, and it was stated that the 14-year prison sentence given in the case regarding the attack in which he stabbed his ex-girlfriend Ceylan G. is at the appeals stage.
The incident occurred on August 5 at around 00:45 in the Gülbahar Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Nilda Müge Şahin went to Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital with her friend in the evening hours. After leaving the hospital, Şahin and her friend came to the duty pharmacy to get medicine.
2 BULLETS ENTERED HER BACK AND EXITED HER CHEST
While Şahin's friend was getting medicine from the pharmacy, Şahin waited outside. According to allegations, Nazir Ilgın, who was on a black scooter motorcycle with license plate 34 PJ 7763, opened fire on Nilda Müge Şahin on the street where the pharmacy is located. After the attack, he fled the scene on the scooter motorcycle. 2 bullets hit the young woman's back and 2 hit her chest. Şahin was seriously wounded. Police and health teams were dispatched to the scene upon the report. After the health teams' first intervention, Nilda Müge was taken to a private hospital in Şişli, but could not be saved despite all interventions.

According to the statement of Şahin's friend, she stated that they noticed a person resembling Nazir Ilgın around Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital, but they could not be sure whether the person they suspected was Ilgın. Şahin's friend stated that after leaving the hospital, they went to the duty pharmacy to get medicine, and that Nilda Müge Şahin was subjected to an armed attack on the street where the pharmacy was located.
SHE FILED A COMPLAINT 9 DAYS BEFORE THE MURDER
In the examination, it was determined that on Monday, July 27, Şahin applied to the Şişli District Police Department's Domestic Violence and Violence Against Women Bureau and filed a complaint against Nazir Ilgın. After the procedures, the suspect was referred to judicial authorities; he was then released under judicial control. It was learned that a restraining order was issued against the suspect, and the order was served to him on Sunday, August 2, by the teams of the Beşiktaş District Police Department's Domestic Violence and Violence Against Women Bureau. Despite this, it was determined that the suspect shot and killed his ex-girlfriend 3 days after the order was served.
IT WAS REVEALED THAT HE HAS 6 CRIMINAL RECORDS
In the investigation, it was found that Nazir Ilgın has a total of 6 criminal records: 3 for 'Intentional injury', 1 for 'Insult and threat', and 2 under the 'Law on the protection of the family and the prevention of violence against women'. After the incident, the teams of the Homicide Bureau of the Public Order Branch Directorate and the Public Order Bureau of the Şişli District Police Department initiated efforts to catch the fleeing suspect.
THE 14-YEAR PRISON SENTENCE HAS NOT BEEN FINALIZED
On the other hand, it was determined that in 2020, legal action was taken against Nazir Ilgın on charges of 'Attempted intentional killing' for allegedly beating and stabbing his ex-girlfriend, nurse Ceylan G. After the incident, the suspect was detained and, following the completion of police procedures, was referred to the courthouse. It was learned that the suspect, who was sentenced to 14 years in prison by the first instance court, had the decision under review at the appeals court, and that while the finalization process of the file continued, the suspect was not detained.
