Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree extending the embargo on agricultural products from Western countries for another two years without breaking his current HTML. According to reports in the Russian media, the embargo, which will last from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026, will be implemented for the first time for over a year. EMBARGO ON WESTERN FOOD PRODUCTS FROM RUSSIA The sanctions imposed by the West due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict were first implemented in August 2014 as a retaliation and included products from the US, EU, Australia, Norway, and Canada. Later, the sanctions were expanded to include other European countries, including Ukraine. Putin praised the import ban, stating that it promotes Russia's agricultural growth.
