Russia declared Israel's attacks on nuclear facilities in Iran illegal, warning that these actions could lead the world into a nuclear disaster. A call for reason was made to Israel, and it was noted that countries supporting the attacks are complicit in this process. President Putin responded harshly to Israel, stating, "Patience is running out."
As tensions rise in the Middle East, Israel's attacks on nuclear facilities in Iran continue to shake the world agenda. A significant statement was made by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the ongoing conflict that has lasted for six days. Russian President Vladimir Putin also conveyed the message, "Our patience is wearing thin."
"IRAN IS COMMITTED TO THE NPT, ISRAEL'S ATTACK IS ILLEGAL"
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Iran's commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) remains intact and that its open attitude towards the negotiation process cannot be overlooked. The statement described Israel's attacks on nuclear facilities as "illegal" and expressed that these actions pose a serious threat to international security.
THEY REITERATED THE CALL FOR "SENSIBILITY"
Moscow also emphasized that Israel's attacks have brought the world to the brink of a nuclear disaster, urging the Tel Aviv administration to exercise sensibility. It was reminded that Iran's nuclear facilities are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The statement clearly indicated that countries supporting the attacks are complicit in these actions.
PUTIN'S STRONG STATEMENT: PATIENCE IS RUNNING OUT
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in his remarks that Israel is leading the countries in the region towards disaster. Putin warned that "Israel, which turns a deaf ear to calls for sensibility, is now pushing the limits of patience," indicating that tensions could escalate further.
IAEA: THE FACILITY IN NATANZ WAS AFFECTED BY THE ATTACK
The IAEA also issued a statement regarding the developments. According to the agency's statement made via the social media platform X, high-resolution satellite images obtained after Israel's attacks on June 13 contain elements indicating that uranium enrichment operations in the underground sections of the Natanz Nuclear Facility were affected. However, IAEA Director Rafael Mariano Grossi stated that no physical damage was detected in the underground section, only surface structures were damaged. Meanwhile, no changes were observed at the Isfahan and Fordo facilities.
DIPLOMATIC TENSIONS ARE ESCALATING
Russia's statements and the IAEA's technical assessments revealed that Israel's military move could turn into a crisis threatening not only regional but also global security. All eyes are now on the steps to be taken by the United Nations and other international actors.
