Located in the Abdülmecid Efendi Grove and housing around 10,000 works, the library will welcome visitors by reservation. The collection includes rare books, encyclopedias, and research resources from various fields.
Mustafa Rahmi Koç, the Honorary Chairman of Koç Holding and one of Turkey's leading business figures, has made his personal book collection, amassed over many years, available for public benefit. The collection, consisting of valuable works, has found its place on the shelves of the Sükunet Library, which has opened its doors in Istanbul.
A READING ENVIRONMENT EMBRACED BY NATURE
Located by the pond in the Abdülmecid Efendi Grove, the Sükunet Library offers its visitors a tranquil study and reading environment, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. In the library, which houses approximately 10,000 works, national and international encyclopedias and rare books donated by Rahmi Koç form the most striking part of the collection.
RARE WORKS MEET RESEARCHERS
The library collection includes numerous resources on various fields such as archaeology, art history, architecture, and engineering. Alongside Rahmi Koç, Caroline Koç, Özgen Acar, and Tezcan Yaramancı have also contributed to the archive, which contains periodicals and rare works, through book donations.
ENTRY WILL BE BY RESERVATION
To maintain a quiet and productive study environment, the Sükunet Library will admit visitors via a reservation system. The library will serve both those wishing to conduct academic research and those who prefer to read books in a natural setting.
