ÖZEL BIDS FAREWELL TO THE CHP GROUP PODIUM
Özgür Özel, in his final speech at the CHP group podium on July 21st, officially declared the formation of a new party. The response from the CHP to MHP Leader Bahçeli's statements was swift. CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı, reacting to Bahçeli's remarks on treasury aid, posed the following questions: "MHP Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, in his statement to journalists today, made an 'ethical' warning regarding the treasury aid our party will receive. He should be asked the following: Why did you not raise this same 'ethical' approach during the establishment of the İYİ Party? Are you perhaps seeking to support the economic difficulties of those attempting to divide the CHP?"
