AK Party spokesperson Ömer Çelik condemned the exclusion of a student from school in the TRNC due to their clothing. In his statement, Çelik said, "We strongly condemn the prevention of a student from entering İrsen Küçük Middle School due to their clothing by certain individuals."

PREVENTED BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION

The school administration and members of the Turkish Cypriot Secondary Education Teachers' Union prevented the student from entering the school. Yusuf İnanıroğlu, the Director of the General Secondary Education Department of the Ministry of National Education, also came to the scene and requested that the child be allowed to enter the school, but this was rejected.

In response to the events, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik expressed his reaction through a post on his social media account.

Çelik, who said, "We strongly condemn the prevention of a student from entering the school due to their clothing at İrsen Küçük Middle School in the TRNC," added, "The ugly approach of those who violate the right to education is a form of fanaticism that contradicts human rights. The sentences they use to justify this ugliness are grave. We have fought a fundamental struggle for democracy against this fanaticism in our country. Those who have signed this prohibition in the past are left alone with their shame. The same fanaticism must be prevented from harming the TRNC. We hope for the correction of this ugly approach that contradicts the most fundamental values."
