Çaykur Rizespor, who parted ways with İlhan Palut, has signed a 1.5-year contract with their new head coach Recep Uçar. The 50-year-old coach stated that he believes in the team's potential.
Çaykur Rizespor appointed Recep Uçar as the new head coach, filling the vacancy left by İlhan Palut. A signing ceremony was held at Rizespor Stadium for Uçar. The meeting, which began with an opening speech by Çaykur Rizespor President İbrahim Turgut, shared the club's goals, the current status of the team, and plans for the new period. In his speech at the signing ceremony, Çaykur Rizespor Club President İbrahim Turgut welcomed Uçar to the Rizespor family, saying, "Welcome to the Rizespor family. May God bless this endeavor." Turgut emphasized that Uçar is a valuable figure in the sports community and stated that there is complete trust in him.
President Turgut also thanked İlhan Palut, who left the position voluntarily, saying, "İlhan Hocamız is a very principled and decent person. His contributions are valuable. Coach Recep will also build upon the same profile."
"I BELIEVE IN MY TEAM"
In his speech at the signing ceremony, Head Coach Recep Uçar expressed that it is a great joy for him to take on a role at Çaykur Rizespor, one of the rooted clubs in Turkish football, stating, "I thank our president and management for deeming us worthy of this position. I am very excited to share the same enthusiasm in front of our passionate fans."
Uçar also thanked İlhan Palut, who served before him, expressing that his 2.5 years of service were valuable. Uçar stated that he believes in the team's potential, saying, "I believe in myself, my team, our players, and the city's synergy. Our only goal is to work day and night to bring this team to the desired positions."
"THE FIRST GOAL IS TO ESCAPE THE LOWER GROUP"
Recep Uçar stated that their first goal is to escape the lower group the team is currently in, saying, "We want to make Rizespor a difficult away game again." Uçar mentioned that he watched the Pendikspor match from the stands last night and emphasized that he was pleased with the energy displayed by the players, stating, "There was good synergy on the field. There is a team made up of quality players, but we have issues with conceding easy goals and struggling to score. We will work to solve these problems."
"WE WILL PLAY A PRESSING GAME"
Speaking about the style of football he wants to implement, Uçar said, "There are some weaknesses. The statistics of a team that scores few goals and concedes many are evident. However, I saw a structure open to development on the field yesterday. We will play an enthusiastic, pressing, and productive football both at home and away." Uçar also stated that preparations for the away match against Konyaspor this weekend have begun.
Recep Uçar mentioned that he has embraced being close to the city and fans in his previous clubs, saying, "I want to reflect the city's energy and synergy in the stadium. You will see a team that rebels and fights on the field." Uçar emphasized that his only request from the fans is to stand behind the team in good times and bad.
The meeting concluded with a photo session with the press, and Recep Uçar officially signed a 1.5-year contract.
