Reha Muhtar, who had been living a life away from the public eye for many years and was hospitalized in Bodrum on May 28 due to heart failure, passed away at the hospital where he was being treated on June 3. A funeral ceremony was held for Muhtar, who died at the age of 66, at the Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque in Beşiktaş.

At the ceremony, Muhtar's adoptive daughter Ayşe Nazlı Yumlu and his children Poyraz and Mina accepted condolences, while the famous journalist's funeral was laid to rest at Yeniköy Cemetery.

It has been revealed that Muhtar, whose assets were also a matter of curiosity, owned a waterfront mansion in Baltalimanı, two houses in Yeniköy, a time deposit account in the bank, a property abroad, and 3 houses generating rental income.
Reha Muhtar's legal heirs are his twins Mina Deniz and Poyraz Deniz, born from his relationship with Deniz Uğur, and his adoptive daughter Ayşe Nazlı.
WHO IS REHA MUHTAR?
Born on July 21, 1959, in Istanbul, Reha Muhtar completed his primary, middle, and high school education at TED Ankara College and then graduated from Ankara University's Faculty of Political Sciences, Press and Broadcasting Higher School.
Muhtar began his journalism career as a reporter at Milliyet Newspaper in 1983 and served as an Athens correspondent and program producer at TRT between 1985 and 1993. The process that made him widely known in television journalism began in the 1990s. He became one of the most prominent news anchors of the era, particularly with his presentation on the Show TV Main News Bulletin.
Throughout his career, Muhtar worked at many national television channels such as Kanal D, Star TV, ATV, FOX TV, CNN Türk, and Kanaltürk, and also wrote columns for newspapers including Akşam, Sabah, Star, and Vatan.
It is known that Reha Muhtar was the adoptive father of Ayşe Nazlı, the daughter of artist Nilüfer. Muhtar has twins named Mina and Poyraz from his relationship with Deniz Uğur.
