The funeral of renowned journalist and television personality Reha Muhtar, who passed away in Bodrum due to heart failure, was brought to Istanbul yesterday after hospital procedures were completed.

A ceremony was held for Reha Muhtar at the Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque in Levent, Istanbul, following the afternoon prayer. During the funeral, the veteran journalist's son Poyraz Deniz and his adopted daughter Ayşe Nazlı never left the side of the coffin and accepted condolences.

In the ceremony, where emotional moments were experienced in the mosque courtyard, Poyraz Deniz placed the jersey of Besiktas, of which his father was a devoted fan, on the coffin as per his father's will, bringing sorrowful moments to the attendees. After the funeral prayer, Reha Muhtar's body was taken to Yenikoy Cemetery to be laid to rest.
