Fenerbahçe doubled its capacity by renovating Block E located in the Marathon Lower Stand. While the costs were covered by the board members, the home atmosphere was improved without any decrease in the club's revenues.
Fenerbahçe has announced that Block E, located in the Maraton Lower Tribune which was a topic of debate last season, has been renovated and the cost was covered by the board members.
MARATON LOWER E BLOCK RENOVATED
In a statement on the official website of the yellow-navy blues, it was said: "In line with the demand from our fans; the renovation work initiated for the Maraton Lower E Block (special VIP section) at Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex, aimed at strengthening the home stadium atmosphere, was completed in less than 30 days. As part of the renovation, the existing VIP seats were removed and the tribune was harmonized with the side blocks. As a result of the work, 377 VIP seats were removed, the seating arrangement was returned to the standard Maraton Lower Tribune layout, and the capacity nearly doubled to reach 704 seats.
COST COVERED BY CHAIRMAN YILDIRIM AND MANAGEMENT
The cost of the said renovation was covered by our Chairman Aziz Yıldırım and our Board Members, and no expenditure was made from our club's treasury. Additionally, following the price optimization carried out, the sale of season tickets in the relevant block will ensure no loss in tribune revenues. Thus, without any decrease in our club's revenues, a positive improvement in the home stadium atmosphere will be achieved. We thank all our fans who will support our team with the same enthusiasm and belief in the new season, and we wish to experience many victories together."
