IN THE DEAD OF THE NIGHT, THIS WAS THEIR FIRST TASK
The incident occurred in the Ambarlı neighborhood. A two-door wardrobe-type refrigerator, brought for repair to Deniz Atacan's home appliance repair workshop, was left in front of the workplace and locked to the railings. Around 06:30 yesterday morning, a pickup truck arrived on the street. Four women got out of the truck and approached the refrigerator, which is known to have a market value of approximately 100,000 lira.
THEY LOADED IT ONTO THE TRUCK AND LEFT
While one of the suspects kept lookout, the others opened the refrigerator doors and checked its interior and motor. One woman unfastened the padlock attached to the chain, while two others put on gloves. Then, the women together removed the refrigerator, weighing about 100 kilograms, through the garden gate. Subsequently, they maneuvered it across the sidewalk and between parked vehicles, loaded it onto the pickup truck, and quickly fled the scene.
HE WAS SHOCKED WHEN HE WATCHED THE FOOTAGE
When business owner Deniz Atacan arrived at work in the morning, he saw that the refrigerator was not in its place. Atacan then understood the situation after reviewing the security camera footage.
"QUITE STRONG AND ROBUST WOMEN"
Deniz Atacan said, "This huge cabinet-like refrigerator, which 4 men couldn't even carry and leave here, was carried away by 4 women around 06:30 in the morning. One of them was waiting in front of the door as a lookout. The 4 women put it in the car and took it away. A few days ago, iron was stolen from the demolished building on that corner. They came at night, opened the refrigerator, looked at it, then broke the lock from the back and took it away. They are quite strong and robust women. The refrigerator that our 4 men couldn't lift and carry was carried away by 4 women. We were in awe. There's a very small distance between the door and the car, we watched in amazement how they got it out of there. They really took the refrigerator away in a very professional manner. Without scratching it, without damaging it..." he said.
Upon notification, teams from the Avcılar Police Department took action, examined the security cameras, and initiated efforts to catch the suspects.
