A notable item was included in the bill submitted by the AK Party to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). According to the bill, some health reports issued by family doctors will be charged. Usta stated that the proposal consists of 28 articles and indicated that the regulation aims to meet the needs arising from labor and social security legislation and to improve the quality of service delivery by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security's service units and related organizations. FAMILY DOCTORS WILL WRITE HEALTH REPORTS FOR A FEEUsta, who stated that they aim to expand the functionality of family medicine units to increase access to health services, said, "We are introducing a regulation that will allow traditional and complementary medicine services to be provided by family medicine units. This regulation will enable family doctors, who have received training in traditional and complementary medicine and can apply it, to offer these services to citizens in their units for a fee outside of working hours." "IT WILL PROVIDE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO OUR FAMILY DOCTORS' BUDGETS"Usta indicated that there will be a regulation regarding the charging of reports issued by family doctors, stating that this will provide significant contributions to the budgets of family doctors. Usta said, "We believe that making some of the reports issued by family doctors chargeable instead of free will provide a significant contribution to their budgets. Thus, we are introducing a regulation that will reduce patient density in our secondary and tertiary hospitals and prevent unnecessary patients from going to the secondary and tertiary levels. We think this will be an important and effective benefit to our healthcare system."
