Response from Fenerbahçe to Galatasaray: We are ready to evaluate the first 8 weeks.

15.10.2024 15:20

Fenerbahçe responded to the suggestion made by Galatasaray Sportif AŞ Manager İbrahim Hatipoğlu regarding the evaluation of referee errors. Fenerbahçe stated that they accepted Hatipoğlu's proposal to have "controversial situations evaluated by authorities that the clubs will accept" and announced that they are ready to evaluate the first 8 weeks starting from this season.

The Super League team Fenerbahçe responded to the words of their eternal rival Galatasaray Sportif AŞ Manager İbrahim Hatipoğlu from yesterday.

Fenerbahçe's statement is as follows;

"We accept Mr. Hatipoğlu's proposal that 'All controversial positions, including the last 2 years and these first 8 weeks, should be evaluated by authorities that the clubs will accept. Which team has gained how many points from referee errors, how many points have been lost, should be revealed. Then the truths will come to light.'

We are ready to evaluate the first 8 weeks starting from this season, promptly and urgently.

We emphasize to the public that we are ready to take every step, including dialogue and meetings with them, to implement this proposal by identifying the names they want as soon as possible.

Thus; we believe that the scandalous referee errors and the events that occurred at critical junctures in the championship race will be clarified in the history of Turkish football."

WHAT DID İBRAHİM HATİPOĞLU SAY?

İbrahim Hatipoğlu, in a broadcast he attended on Monday, stated, "The events between referees and Galatasaray have been highly debated for the last 2 seasons. Every club has made some statements about how their rights have been violated the most. Erden Timur was saying this, and I am saying it too. All controversial positions should be evaluated. It should be revealed how many points each team has gained thanks to referees. This is not a problem that can be solved by creating perceptions and talking about structures that cannot be proven while going from television to television. The president of the team that is among those complaining about referees today had also said that referees would make mistakes."
