Hakan Safi gave a negative response to Aziz Yıldırım's call for unification. Safi said, 'I once again emphasize that I am a candidate unconditionally. Regardless of who stands against us, I will enter the election alone. There is no question of me withdrawing or merging.'
Aziz Yıldırım, who is a candidate for the presidency in the extraordinary general assembly of Fenerbahçe Club scheduled for June 6-7, had called for unification to other candidates Barış Göktürk and Hakan Safi, who have also announced their candidacies.
"I WILL ENTER THE ELECTION ALONE"
Hakan Safi made a statement following Aziz Yıldırım's call. Speaking to Ersin Düzen, Hakan Safi said, "I emphasize once again that I am an unconditional candidate. Regardless of who is the candidate against us, I will enter the election alone. Withdrawal or unification is not an option."
Hakan Safi concluded his speech with the words, "Currently, with my team, our only goal is to make Fenerbahçe champions and make our community happy."
In his announcement of his presidential candidacy, Aziz Yıldırım had said, "I am a candidate for the Presidency of Fenerbahçe Sports Club for the epic 120th year, where we will show the Fenerbahçe community is united. I offer all candidates, especially Mr. Barış Göktürk and Mr. Hakan Safi, to be with me."
