Iraqi Government Spokesman Basim al-Awadi stated, "The Iraqi government expresses deep concern over the targeting of nuclear facilities located on Iranian territory and unequivocally condemns these attacks."

Reactions have come from Iraq regarding the attacks carried out by the United States on three nuclear facilities in Iran during the night. Iraq's Government Spokesman Basim al-Awadi stated in a statement that the attack poses a serious threat to the security and peace of the Middle East, saying, "The Iraqi government is deeply concerned about the targeting of nuclear facilities located on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and unequivocally condemns these attacks."

"TARGETING FACILITIES USED FOR PEACEFUL PURPOSES IS UNACCEPTABLE"

The spokesman emphasized that Iraq is fundamentally against the use of force in international relations, stating that it is unacceptable to target facilities that are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and are used for peaceful purposes.

Stating that military solutions cannot replace diplomacy and dialogue, Iraq's Government Spokesman Awadi noted, "The continuation of the attacks could have serious consequences that transcend borders and destabilize the entire region."

CALL FOR A SOLUTION WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF INTERNATIONAL LAW AND THE UN CHARTER

Basim al-Awadi emphasized that wars only bring destruction, stating that the duty of great powers and international organizations is to protect the world from new crises, not to fuel these crises. In his statement, the Iraqi Government Spokesman called on all parties to urgently reduce tensions, control the crisis by opening diplomatic channels, and produce solutions within the framework of international law and the UN Charter in light of their responsibility for regional and global peace.
