In an attack carried out by an ISIS terrorist in Syria, 2 U.S. soldiers and 1 U.S. citizen lost their lives, which greatly angered U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump stated that Syrian President Ahmed Shara is extremely angry and disturbed by this attack, adding, "There will be a very serious retaliation."
The U.S. Army announced that 2 U.S. soldiers and 1 U.S. citizen lost their lives in an armed attack carried out by an ISIS militant in Syria.
In a statement made on the social media account of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), it was stated, "As a result of an ambush carried out by a lone ISIS militant in Syria, 2 U.S. soldiers and 1 U.S. citizen lost their lives, and 3 soldiers were injured. The militant was killed in the ensuing conflict."
In the statement, it was reported that the identities of the deceased soldiers would be announced 24 hours after their families were informed, and it was noted, "Updates will be provided as more information becomes available."

This attack was an ISIS assault on the U.S. and Syria in a very dangerous area of Syria that is not fully under their control."

In the Tedmur (Palmyra) district of Homs province, located in central Syria, elements of the Syrian army conducting patrols for security purposes were attacked alongside U.S. soldiers.
