Reflections on the Humanitarian Solution Workshop for the Kurdish Issue held on February 15-16 continue. In response to the Atatürkist Thought Association's criminal complaint regarding the workshop, HÜDA PAR provided an answer. In a statement made by the HÜDA PAR Human Rights and Legal Affairs Presidency, it was stated, "No insults were made against Mustafa Kemal or anyone else during the workshop. We do not consider individuals to be on our agenda, nor do we accept insults as a legitimate means or method."
"THERE IS NO SEPARATISM OR INSULT IN OUR WORKSHOP"
The statement emphasized that the Humanitarian Solution Workshop for the Kurdish Issue held in Diyarbakır on February 15-16 is a peaceful, civil, and legitimate initiative, stating, "We addressed the Kurdish issue based on truth, considering its legal and humanitarian dimensions. However, some circles acting with the remnants of Kemalist tutelage and nationalist reflexes resorted to baseless accusations to stifle this discussion. Let us reiterate for those who do not know: There is no separatism or insult in our workshop! But there are truths, and these truths have disturbed the Kemalist status quo."
While responding to the accusations made in the ADD's criminal complaint one by one, the following statements were used:
ALLEGATION OF VIOLATING THE CONSTITUTION (TCK M. 309)
The crime of violating the Constitution can only be committed through coercion and violence. So, is it a crime to discuss the Kurdish issue through legitimate means in a civil political context, or is it the imposition of denial and assimilation policies for 100 years? The truth is that this mentality wants the Kurds to demand their rights only through violence, while viewing peaceful means as a threat!
INCITEMENT TO HATRED AND ENMITY (TCK M. 216)
We said that Turks and Kurds are brothers in the workshop, and that the peace of Diyarbakır is the peace of Ankara. But it is clear that some prefer uniformity over brotherhood! Who incites the people to hatred and enmity in this country? Those who ban education and teaching in the Kurdish mother tongue, or those who deny the Kurdish existence?
INCITEMENT TO DISOBEY LAWS (TCK M. 217)
In the workshop, we invited people to question laws that contradict universal law, our acquis, and our civilizational vision, rather than "disobeying the laws"! Because lawlessness can be legalized but cannot be legitimized. The legal system shaped by the dogmas of Kemalism is an ideological apparatus aimed at keeping society under oppression. Justice cannot be established without changing the constitutions and laws of Kemalist tutelage!
INSULTING MUSTAFA KEMAL (LAW NO. 5816) ALLEGATION
No insults were made against Mustafa Kemal or anyone else during the workshop. We do not consider individuals to be on our agenda, nor do we accept insults as a legitimate means or method. However, Kemalism has been criticized. Because Kemalism is a despotic understanding that disregards peoples in the name of the nation-state, imposing a single language, a single identity, and a single ideology. The foundation of coups, bans, assimilation, and denial policies in these lands is the Kemalist ideology. In this context, you cannot legitimize any lies, slanders, and defamations made by hiding behind Mustafa Kemal. Kemalism is not an uncriticizable taboo. It is a mechanism of tutelage that must be confronted with its historical and social consequences.
"WE WILL CONTINUE TO STAND ON THE SIDE OF TRUTH"
In the continuation of the statement, it was said, "The biggest dilemma of this country is as follows: Those who try to speak the truth are silenced, and when lawlessness is criticized, it is said that 'a crime is being committed.' But it should be known that we will not remain silent!" It was stated, "As a result, those who want to solve the Kurdish issue are not the real source of the problem, but those who want to maintain the status quo." Finally, the statement included the following remarks: "These attacks on our workshop show that the understanding that denies Kurds and different identities still persists today. But this understanding is now gasping for breath and will collapse sooner or later! We will continue to stand on the side of truth. We will not bow to either the uniform nation-state understanding or the unlawful impositions of Kemalist tutelage!"
