The General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre responded to claims that health reports are routinely requested from citizens over the age of 65.
In a statement made by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, it was reported that the claims regarding delays in land registry transactions due to health report requests are not true.
REQUESTED IN SUSPICIOUS CASES
It was emphasized that health reports are only requested in cases of suspicion regarding 'legal capacity' and that there is no age requirement. It was noted that the number of citizens over the age of 65 who conducted land registry transactions across Turkey on October 1-2 was 9,224, and only 196 of these citizens completed their transactions with a health report.
The statement said, "Our land registry offices continue to carry out transactions more quickly, securely, and transparently in line with the principles of citizen satisfaction and the security of the land registry."
