A water outage has begun due to a malfunction in the Kesikköprü Drinking Water Line in Ankara, which will last until October 5. While residents in Çankaya, Etimesgut, Sincan, and many other districts are experiencing interruptions, citizens rushed to the fountains with their containers. It has been reported that the outages in Gölbaşı and Mamak will continue until October 6.
The General Directorate of Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) announced that due to a malfunction in the Kesikköprü Drinking Water Main Line, there will be intermittent water cuts in the capital.
WATER CUTS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL OCTOBER 5
In a statement from ASKİ, it was reported that water cuts will continue in some areas of the districts of Çankaya, Yenimahalle, Etimesgut, Sincan, and Kahramankazan until 08:00 on Sunday, October 5, 2025. The statement also indicated that subscribers at higher elevations would be able to receive water starting from 18:00 on October 5. With the start of the cuts, it was observed that citizens flocked to the fountains with containers.

- Etimesgut: Göksu, Şehit Osman Avcı, Şeyh Şamil, Yavuz Selim, Tunahan, Güzelkent, Devlet, Şeker, Altay, Eryaman, Yeşilova
- Sincan: Yunus Emre, Ulubatlı Hasan, Gazi Osmanpaşa, Fatih, Törekent, Gökçek, Ahi Evran, OSB, Mevlana, Osmaniye, Saraycık TOKİ, and the higher elevations of Malazgirt, Pınarbaşı, Yenicimşit, Tandoğan, Selçuklu, Osmanlı, Ertuğrulgazi
- Çankaya: A part of Alacaatlı, Ahmet Taner Kışlalı İLKO Site, Mavi Ladin Site, Gama Site, Çakırbey and Alacaköy Villas, Dost Kent, Sizinevler, Angora Houses, Beysukent, Beytepe lower elevations, Çayyolu, Ümitköy

ASKİ also announced that there will be a mandatory water cut in the districts of Gölbaşı and Mamak from 15:00 on Friday, October 3, until 08:00 on Monday, October 6. It was stated that new line construction would take place during this period.
- Gölbaşı: Ahiboz, Ballıkpınar, Eymir, Gaziosmanpaşa, Gökçehöyük, Hacı Hasan, Hacılar, Hacı Muratlı, Hallaçlı, İkizce, İncek, Karagedik (Aydın, Ercan), Karaoğlan, Karşıyaka, Kırıklı, Kızılcaşar, Koparan, Oğulbey, Oyaca Yeşilçam, Oyaca Akarsu, Örencik, Taşpınar, Tepeyurt, Topaklı, Yağlıpınar, Yavruçuk, Yaylabağ, Yurtbey, and a part of Bahçelievler.
- Mamak: There will be low pressure and water cuts throughout the district.
ASKİ stated that the works would be completed quickly and that water would be provided again on the specified dates.
