Next week, the Grand National Assembly will begin discussions on fundamental changes to the Highway Traffic Law. With the new regulation, drivers will be warned about radar points before approaching them, thanks to the "Radar Var" application developed by the government. Additionally, significant increases are expected in speed limits, radar applications, and traffic fines.

The proposal containing comprehensive changes to the Highway Traffic Law is coming to the agenda of the General Assembly next week. The proposal includes record fines amounting to hundreds of thousands of lira for speeding violations and the use of fake license plates, as well as a new mobile application that will inform drivers in advance about radar points. The regulation was prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Interior.

RADAR WARNING FOR DRIVERS IS COMING

According to a report by Türkiye Gazetesi; an important step has been taken in response to citizens' complaints about hidden radars in traffic. As previously announced by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, a new application is being developed to break the perception that "traps are being set" for citizens.

In this new era, drivers will receive a warning on their mobile phones saying "Radar ahead" through an application, allowing them to be alerted before inspection points. Additionally, speed limit signs have been reviewed, and 19,046 signs deemed unnecessary have been removed.

NEW FINE LIST WILL BE BURDENSOME
