ARGUMENT OVER RIGHT OF WAY TURNED INTO A KNIFE ATTACK
The incident occurred last Tuesday in the Muratçeşme Neighborhood of Büyükçekmece district. According to the allegation, a service minibus driver named Ömür Küçük argued with a motorcyclist on his street over the issue of right of way. As a result of the argument, the motorcyclist, who is alleged to have cursed, stabbed Ömür Küçük. While the attacker fled the scene, police teams towed the motorcycle to the impound lot. Police teams launched a search for the individual.

Describing the moment of the incident, driver Küçük said, "When I came home, the street was closed. Then I thought the vehicle blocking the road had come to my house as a guest and called my wife. The guest came downstairs to clear the way. At that moment, someone punched my vehicle. He said, 'Buddy, clear the way, back up.' I said, 'Brother, don't you see the road is closed?' He said to me, 'It's raining, don't you see, I'm getting wet.' Then he said to me, 'Don't talk carelessly, don't make me hit you.' I said, 'Is this the middle of nowhere?' and he cursed at me. He wanted to pull me out of the vehicle and pressured me. He came up to the door; I didn't see that he had a knife in his hand. He came very close to me. I said stay away from me, I pushed him; while I was pushing, I didn't realize there was a knife. As I pulled back, I took 2 knife blows to my left leg. I threw myself into the passenger seat to get away from him. His license plate and identity are known; I went to the police station yesterday, he still appears as at large. Yesterday I went to the police station and said unknown vehicles are coming to the street; they said call when it comes," he said.
