RUSSIA'S ATTACK ON CARGO SHIP
Russia carried out an attack on a cargo ship traveling off the coast of Ukraine's Port of Odesa. Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi stated that the ship, flying the flag of the West African country Guinea-Bissau, had left the port after loading a corn cargo and that there was an 18-person crew consisting of citizens of India, Syria, and Ukraine on board.
5 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
Koretskyi noted that a large fire broke out on the ship during the attack, and said that the Ukrainian Navy launched rescue operations and successfully rescued 8 sailors, 2 of whom were injured.
Koretskyi stated that there is still no news from 5 sailors. Prime Minister Koretskyi noted that rescue teams quickly moved away from the scene due to the risk of a second attack, but firefighting efforts on the ship are ongoing.
